What We Do
Overview
Washington CASH provides a business training course, microcredit lending services from $500-$5,000, technical business assistance and peer support to enable entrepreneurial people in low-income situations (especially women currently dependent on public assistance), people with disabilities and new immigrants/refugees to start or expand self-employment ventures.
Business Training
- This course is practical in nature and takes participants through the process of building a simple, solid and comprehensive business plan. You will learn about personal and business finances, profitability, marketing and operating plans, record keeping, taxes and much more.

Technical Assistance
We offer on-going training on specific issues related to the development of your business. TA sessions include: business taxes, networking, marketing, advanced bookkeeping, etc. This service is offered to graduates of the business training program as well as people applying for individual loans.
Mentors
Our business groups receive individual support for their businesses through a mentor who is assigned to each group. The mentor may be a successful small business person, financial, marketing or other expert from the business community. Mentors help participants navigate the often confusing aspects of business with practical, hands-on advice.
