Individual Development Accounts
Individual Development Accounts (IDA) are targeted, matched savings accounts that are used to help people earning a low to moderate income start a small business. Offered in collaboration with United Way of King County, these accounts are matched two-to-one through federal funding, and are an effective way to help borrowers develop good savings skills and learn about the power of interest. Under the program, clients may contribute a maximum of $2,000, and Washington CASH will match that savings with $4,000.
