Miriam Works, Retail Incubator Manager

Miriam Works is co-manager for the Washington CASH retail incubator, Ventures, and develops curriculum to help clients navigate the process of getting their products and services to wider markets. She has been involved in growing small businesses since she sold jewelry at Seattle’s Pike Place Market to earn money for college. For almost twenty years, Miriam was buyer/manager and exhibitions coordinator for nationally recognized crafts shop/galleries FireWorks and La Tienda. In 1993 she started Works Consulting to teach and support creative entrepreneurs in growing their businesses. She has designed and opened both not-for-profit and for-profit retail stores and helped a wide variety of entrepreneurs grow their customer service skills, marketing approaches, and product development efforts to their greatest potential. Miriam believes in the power of small business to strengthen individuals and families, provide service to others, support Washington CASH’ mission and grow each entrepreneur’s unique abilities.
