Financial Programs Assistant

Irene provides support for the Washington C.A.S.H. Financial Programs, including the Individual Development Accounts, Loans, and the Financial Management Certification Program.

She is passionate about building community and poverty alleviation, and is excited to work among people and entrepreneurs who support and challenge each other to create better businesses and better community.

Prior to Washington C.A.S.H., Irene worked as an injury treatment massage practitioner and owned her own massage business. She also has five years of experience as a book-seller, including three years working for Elliott Bay Book Company. Irene received her undergraduate degree in Japanese Studies from Oberlin College in Ohio.

In her spare time, Irene enjoys illustrating and painting and is a published children’s book illustrator and author.
