Mike Robon is vice president of Personal Lines Product Management for Safeco, a division of Libery Mutual Insurance, managing profit/loss responsibilities for a $3.2 billion national personal automobile insurance portfolio spanning 49 states.

He joined the Seattle-based insurer in 2003 as a state product manager and ascended to the leadership team in 2005.  For more than a decade, Robon has managed state and region profitability, introducing numerous new products, redesigning insurance policies and leveraging new technologies to drive business growth. 

Prior to Safeco, he was a product manager for Progressive in both Houston and Denver, where he also sat on the board of the Rocky Mountain Intermountain Insurance Organization. Outside of insurance, he worked as an analytical marketing research consultant and helped a regional bank reorganize and launch information-driven products.

Robon holds a bachelors degree in Economics from Northwestern University and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University with emphasis in statistics, finance, marketing and entrepreneurship.  He also was part of a team advising the city of Kirkland with their 20 year plan for the Highland's neighborhood.
