Melissa Forziat

Melissa Forziat is an east coast native, growing up in Garden City, New York until attending college at Brown University in Rhode Island, where she received a Bachelors Degree in International Relations.  As an artistic gymnast for 18 years, she pursued an early career in sport and landed professional event planning and media operations roles with the Torino 2006 and Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games, the 2011 Rugby World Cup in New Zealand, and the U.S. Olympic Committee in Colorado.

After several years working abroad on major events, Melissa moved to Seattle in the winter of 2012 and began Melissa Forziat Events.  As an event and project manager, she works with non-profits and small businesses as well as sport and corporate clients and has gained a unique insight into the rich, varied business landscape of Seattle.

Melissa joined the Washington C.A.S.H. Board of Directors in January 2013 after working with C.A.S.H. on fund development and alumni outreach projects.  In her spare time, Melissa enjoys dancing, improv comedy, and travelling.
